Mrs. Miyoko Sato is the Chief Advisor of SPA. She graduated from the Department of Piano, Junior College Division, Musashino Academia Musicae, Tokyo, in 1971. She worked for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. for 25 years. Since 2003, she has been working with high profile Japanese citizens as a Private Consultant. She has vast experience of consulting in sustainable development work in many underdeveloped countries such as Philippines, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka etc.

Mr. Takagi Kotaro is an advisor to Society for People’s Advancement (SPA). He is the Chairman of Takagi Kogiyo Engineering Industry. A leading manufacturer of hi-tech Chimney. A 100+ years old industry. Mr. Takagi is also involved in many other companies in Japan and abroad. He graduated from University of Meji, Tokyo, Japan with a degree in Mechanical and Design Engineering. Mr. Takagi is also involved in many social and charitable works in Japan.

Dr. Ahmed is a Professor of Medicine and Nephrology, Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University, Philadelphia and Professor Emeritus, Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia. He has trained hundreds of medical students, medical residents, Nephrology fellows, MPH and PhD students since 1986. He is the chairman of Physician panel of Bangladesh Environmental Network (BEN), vice chairman of distressed children and infant international USA. He started Peritoneal dialysis program, established first Infection control program and emergency medicine training program. He initiated Medical education seminar and training jointly with USA based FAIMER/ECFMG. He is the president and founder of Kidney Foundation Sylhet. He had received many awards including President’s Silver Medal Award for Community Service in 2008, Global Health Award, Chairman of Bangladesh Red Cross Award for improving health care in Bangladesh. He has received prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor USA in 2018 for contribution to improve the life of people and society in USA and native country in Bangladesh.

Prof. Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed (Member)

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman is a Professor Emeritus of Banking & Finance, School of Business Administration, Portland State University, USA. International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) selected him as one of the international reviewers for Islamic Finance curriculum and invited him to attend the EPP-7 Islamic Finance Education Global Round Table Discourse, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, August 21-23, 2014. He is currently doing innovative research in Islamic Micro Finance and Halal Investment. He did MBA from University of Minnesota in 1979 and PhD in Finance from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 1986.

Prof. Shafiqur Rahman

Prof. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury (MBBS, FCPS) is a Professor of Surgery, at BIRDEM & Ibrahim Medical College, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was the President, Bangladesh Society of Emergency Medicine and Vice President of the International College of Surgeon Bangladesh Chapter. He graduated from Dhaka Medical College in1976, completed Fellowship in Surgery in 1981. He has extensive training in UK, USA, and Singapore in general surgery, laparoscopic surgery and vascular surgery. He performed more than 20,000 laparoscopic surgery. Established the first Minimally Invasive Surgery Center (MISC) and skill lab in the country at BIRDEM in 1998. He has authored 18 articles in medical journals, book chapters in diabetes mellitus & articles on laparoscopic surgery. He is a member of the editorial board of three medical journals from home and abroad. He is the past president of the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Bangladesh and present Governor of ELSA (Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia).

Prof. Dr. H. Kabir Chouwdhury – (Member)

Mr. Javed Iqbal has over 35 years of experience in corporate banking, financing and management. He has multidimensional profile of dealing with various Infra-structural, Power, Mining, downstream and upstream projects in Oil & Gas Industry. He has been CEO of China Construction Fund that invest in Africa and other countries to source Oil, Gas and Mineral reserves to fuel Chinese economy. He has been instrumental in introducing major Chinese State Owned Groups in Power, Oil & Gas and Infra-structure groups to offer EPC and BOT projects.

Javed Iqbal – (Member)

Dr. Nahreen Husna Ahmed is an assistant professor of clinical medicine in Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. She practiced Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine with a focus on capacity building and implementation of tech solutions such as Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS). She implemented POCUS training for Faculty at the University of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia City-Wide Ultrasound Training Program. She worked on building critical care curriculum and providing clinical service and sustainable medical education in worldwide low-resource settings. Dr. Nahreen graduated from Widener University and completed Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine. She has a MS in Public Health from University of Illinois at Chicago and a Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship from New York University.
